I realized that I left my Invisalign with Andre in the phillipines, so yesterday I went and got scans done, and picked them up in the morning. They gave me some cool skin replicas too!

RIP Camera

Yesterday I broke my camera on the Bui Vien Walking Street with a laser, and decided to visit an Apple repair center. They were asking for $200, and I just decided to use the ultrawide lens that just worked in the meantime.

hopefully this video was enjoyable, it’s the reason my camera is fucked.

Public Transit

I went over to Ba Son station and took public transit for the first time (since I didn’t want to ride a motorcycle for 30 mins). My first bus was late, and the operator accepting payment looked at me like I was kind of an idiot, but otherwise not too bad on a transit system!

There wasn’t much to see over there, so I decided to take the metro back to Bến Thành

Haggling

I visited the Bến Thành market again, ready to haggle for my suitcase

The bargain shops were trying to charge me ₫2-3 million (~$80-140) which seemed excessive. My opening price was ₫450k, I went down to ₫400k via Visa, and finally offered ₫500k as I was walking away.

In the afternoon, I visited the Bitexco Financial Tower viewing platform. In the area, there was a malls, shopping, and a wet market.

For dinner, I tried a random restaurant that looked good enarby my place. I talked to an older man from LA, and we watched two neighboring shops have a quarrel about something (lots of Vietnamese, we couldn’t understand what was happening)

Also tried a Sai Gon red beer. Alright, but san mig apple is still my favorite.
