Today, I didn’t have a full meal in the morning, and instead opted to grab snacks from street food stalls!
(not pictured) I’ve been revisiting the same vendor by my metro station that sells filled waffles, and first got a waffle with a chicken sausage inside for only ฿35 ($1)
Chinatown
I went back to Chinatown today to snack on street food, explore, and buy some souvenirs

There was a corner with these transformer-type robots made of scrap metal. Really cool!
This Dubai Chocolate Pepsi wasn’t as bad as it sounds, and I couldn’t really tell that much of a difference from normal Pepsi, other than it tasting a tad bit more like cleaning chemicals.
I first tried a gold coin cake in Vietnam, and found it again here. Despite being freshly cooked in both places, this one was warmer and had meltier cheese

Thai massage
Later in the day, I wanted to relax, so I got a massage. I found a very modern place close to my hotel that only charged 400 baht ($11) for a 1 hour full-body massage.
Thai massages are less about relaxation, and more about alleviating muscle/tissue pain. I read online that some places may hurt you if they don’t know what they’re doing, so I picked a place that seemed like it was professional and not just a tourist trap. I also asked the masseuse to go a bit more gentle since it was my first Thai massage.
The massage was a bit different from the one I had in Vietnam, and a little bit cheaper. What stood out was the masseuse pulling my fingers and toes to crack them, as well as bending my legs in weird ways to stretch my quads. It wasn’t really relaxing, but my shoulder pain was gone after (possibly a placebo effect!).

Ramen
After getting a massage, I decided I was hungry again, and took the bridge back to Terminal 21. The food court has been making my stomach feel questionable every time I go - and I figured that since it was cheap, they probably use cheap ingredients or food prep methods that cause that. all told, I’m probably not going to eat there again.
I went to a Japanese restaurant in the mall, and got ramen with pork and an egg, as well as spicy kaarage chicken. I’m not sure what I was expecting, but it had the same flavor profile of the ramen we had in Japan, and was very satisfying for only 275 baht! ($8)

Soi Cowboy & late-night snack
Before going to bed, I decided to walk down Soi Cowboy - Sukhumvit’s red light district - and get myself a snack. The street was just full of bars and women/ladyboys, and honestly reminded me of Fremon Street in Vegas, but just a bit darker.

After walking Soi Cowboy and only having my shoulder touched once, I went back to a nearby mall to get a chocolate shake.
