Morning at Terminal 21 Asok

I got a late start today since I was tired from travelling. I went to the gym at my hotel, and then went to get lunch at Terminal 21 Asok.

To get there, there are elevated bridges that go above the street and run paralell to the BTS train. It was only 7-10 minutes away from me!

Terminal 21 is a massive 7-story mall that is themed like an airport, where every floor has its own city. The 5th floor is San Francisco, and the food court is called Pier 21 - pretty creative!

lunch

For lunch, I got fried chicken and rice, along with a Thai coffee for about ฿30 ($1) each. The coffee wasn’t as strong as Vietnamese coffee, but still enjoyable!

roll

After eating, I saw rolls where you got to order fillings, and also decided to get one

t21 card

Instead of paying with cash or card at each individual stall, you give a cashier cash and you get a card to scan at any stall. After you eat, you can return the card and get cash.

I’m going to gain 10 kg

dq

After eating and walking around the mall, I saw DQ and remembered that Andre mentioned it was tastier in Southeast Asia - so I had to get one.

Benjakitti Park

I decided to take a break from being inside by walking through a nearby large park that has water in the middle. Its city views are pretty!

Chinatown

I walked through the market in Chinatown and bought a few souvenirs. Sellers weren’t aggressively trying to sell like in the Ben Thanh market, but the way the stalls and market looks reminds me of Marrakech.

Terminal 21 again

Both my stir fry spicy pork and mixed berry smoothie were only ฿30 ($1) each. Good deal and pretty tasty! I should’ve added chili sauce.

After resting for a while, I went back to Terminal 21 and watched Obsession. It was a strange movie, but I enjoyed my paprika popcorn

I’ve noticed more signs reminding you not to smoke weed, and a lot of weed stores. I thought this was a funny sign!

The night market 2 minutes from my hotel - I don’t fully trust the food safety here, but when I ate here on my first day, I was okay!
