Breakfast
Today was another lazier day. I planned on going to Thảo Điền park in the morning, so I walked over to the area for breakfast.
Along the way, I saw a bakery and decided to pick up this pastry - an eclair?
It was ₫200k ($8) - one of my more expensive meals - and is #2 on my Bahn Mi tierlist, and for sure the best coffee I’ve had so far.
Thảo Điền
I visited this quite large park behind the national palace, but forgot to take a photo.
A Vietnamese guy started talking to me, fed his chipmunk friend that he claimed to know for two years, and added me on whatsapp so he could sell me his tour services.
As I’m writing this, it sounds like he’s more pushy than he was. He was pretty chill and only offered at the end after telling me stuff about the park!
His tours were slightly cheaper (~$1) than online sites, and when trying to book tomorrow’s tour with him, he wanted cash payment in advance. I decided it sounded fishy and to go with an online company instead.
Snack
After the gym, my triceps were hurting and I was craving coffee. I got one to couteract the work I did in the gym!
Dinner
I walked back over to the Bitexco Financial Tower area, looking for a place with a rock-climbing wall called Saigon Outcast. I didn’t find it, and decided to grab pho on the street for only ₫100k (~$4).
